‘Cause I’m leavin’, on a jet plane…

…don’t know when I’ll be back again…

As I left the house this morning there was a big plane going overhead. It reminded me that I’m leaving exactly 2 months today.

I admit that I’m getting more and more scared as the time goes on. I know it’s going to be great when I get there, but the build up is terrifying! I get wrapped up in work or something at home and completely forget about it, and then I’m like “oh yeah, I’m moving to Japan”…

It’s all come around very quickly now. I’ve read other people’s accounts of this process and they’ve all said how long the wait is and how they wish they could go quicker, but right now I’d give anything for another couple of months, without having to go to work, just to sort all my stuff out!

I still have a flat full of things, and I need to get a move on. Later on this week the local furniture charity shop is stopping by to pick up some bookcases, and I have a couple of days off work to get started on my packing, so maybe I’ll feel better after that. I’ve given notice on my flat and the letting agency want my spare set of keys already so they can start showing people round.

On the plus side, I’ve organised some leaving drinks for March, so that will be fun. I’m sure I’ll be able to post some amusing photos after that! ;)
