Miss Kitty White sure is a popular girl here in the UK, and recently I’ve been spotting her everywhere! Here are a few places I’ve caught Kitty-chan recently…
She was in the window of the Build-A-Bear Workshop in Covent Garden, and I have to confess I was tempted to build a Kitty!
Aren’t they cute? According to the Build-A-Bear Workshop website, a plain Hello Kitty doll costs £18. However, I expect the building of a Kitty could really add up once you buy all the clothes and accessories. Perhaps one to save for that lottery win! 😉
I also spotted Kitty hanging around outside a card shop in Charring Cross Station one night…
You’ve got to love this British trio:
Also, I was given a box of Hello Kitty Jelly Belly jelly beans:
All the beans inside are pink, and very, very sweet!
As much as I love Miss Kitty White, I do wish Rilakkuma was as popular in the UK as she is (he’ll always be my favourite). Over the last few years Hello Kitty has become much more popular in the UK than she used to be, and it seems like now you can’t go anywhere without bumping into her. I guess you could say she’s Japan’s greatest export, or certainly the cutest anyway! 😉
